I definitely prefer the cleaner, subtle metal of this new texture. Is this for F:NV + whatever the new LURK team project is? I'm kinda curious how you're approaching the modular pieces (specifically the foregrip, as the suppressor and scope might also attach to other weapons) especially if you're unsure what the in-game…
Ah thanks man, still looking forward to seeing the aqua packs progress. I really want to make some skyrim weapons and armour gonna try do the weapons an armour under one theme which Ive got in mind. At the moment im making a twisted game environment which I will render in a game engine. Ive also got a stretchy rig planned…
Couple that with the fact that a lot of the early weapons are in pro loadouts anyway. Hell, cod4 promode strips it to ironsight only and forces/removes certain perks and weapons. One thing I wonder is... games developers - are they game players. And no offence is meant, but I dont think that highly of casual play, at least…
Sure we would. And if we're really lucky, China wouldn't deploy it's own ICBMs and submarine launched nuclear weapons in retaliation until the second commercial break. They have at least twenty 2-megaton yield land-launched weapons capable of reaching the United States that are confirmed. What they've got that isn't…
the front of the slide on the PPK is not accurate. Its more of a rounded shape that extrudes forward and wraps around the barrel. I animate for the source engine stuff, and 2k for a gun is nothing. For a pistol its about right...but in all seriousness unless its for a mod, you can pack as much detail in there as you want.…
[ QUOTE ] Mishra: Dont you already have a semi dictatorship? on the guns thing: Guns that are designed specificaly for killing people (like handguns) should not be aloud to be owned in a society where killing people is illegal. The same goes for knives over here in the UK. some are obviously not for survival uses. [/ QUOTE…
A couple of quick paintovers of the different colour schemes, particularly for the metal. Still not sure which I prefer. Probably the grey. I may include a very subtle blue tint... Second paintover for a potential second weapon type: Third weapon idea: Put a quick gradient and silhouette together of what it would look like…
My suggestion? Make small scenes. As said already, it's very difficult to get hired for props/weapons role. Most jobs I see are for Senior level and you're competing against a lot of other artists that can do more. Most junior/mid level positions I see open are for Environment/World art, doing small scenes gets you closer.…
Looks cool! I don't specialize in weapons so I'm not the best for criticism here, but I find it interesting and like the bit of story you have for it. I think the rings for the soundwaves are maybe just a bit too large, but thats it. I like the design & the idea behind them! I especially like the part that wraps back…
