Re: Professional Rendering Video Cards
if you intend to do lots of rendering, best course of action would be to offload that to dedicated render machines (instead of buying a pro graphics card). that way, you can continue working on your workstation at full speed, preparing content and doing look-dev to send more jobs to the render slaves. -

I'll start posting updates to the entire concept. Since I have until the 12th of March I intend on spending most of that time painting since the design and layout is pretty much done. I'll spend at the most a day or two polishing up lines and perfecting layout. Till then, Crits welcome! -

Oh I see, I guess I was confused by the overwhelming amount of irony in your post, Malekyth. And Daz, Randall wasn't saying that Hedberg was the Pope, he was just guilty of HORRIBLE grammar. I believe this is what he intended: "The Pope, and now Mitch Hedberg; people are dropping like flies." -

Well I thought so too. I do not intend to be unexplorative. It seems though that no matter what I do, the crystalline nature, and the black pixel clumps exists in some form or another. It might be I just need to set it on its highest setting and go to bed to night and see if -that- helps. -

Awesome! Clean and to the point with a good dose of style without being obnoxious. I like that the images break out of their boarders. It loads fast too, nice! Replace the images on the front page with a blog you never intend to update so I have something to bitch about, k thx... =P -

Neat concept and good job taking my crits as intended. I would say bin this model and make it from scratch using as much real life reff as you can. Take your time blocking in the forms and don't rush on to the sculpt untill the base is looking right. Keep it up. -

added the rest of the fingers. Im not sure i like them, they look kind of wrong, but i cant put my finger on it.. (no pun intended.) Maybe they are too fat? Started the feet, these, definitely dont like. they looked cool in the concept, but now they look more like oversized bird feet. suggestions? -

yeah, it looks like a toy to me. that strip with the bolts holdin the ammo can says "erector set", not high end military hardware. scale is a bitch, but when it comes to things reading as intended, it makes all the difference. pick a direction for this thing and go with it, esp before you uv and start painting. -
Maya C++ API --> draw guides on live surface
I recently "dived" into mayas c++ api and oh god is that API complex and somehow weird -.- What I wanted to achieve is that I want to be able to draw guides onto a "live" mesh, like that: (that's about what i intend to achieve) I actually only need a little hint i don't want to ask for a full functioning code :D -
