For me it just doesn't work well. Sometimes I want to move left and it moves up etc. Also I can't restrict movement to planes like XZ, XY, ZY, so if I want to move something let's say -2 in Z and +1 X, I can't do it in one stroke, so I still have to use these little planes on the gizmo. -

thanks Goeddy! yeah i am working on her and i will post some screens of the hair stuff later but basically i work with them with the smooth preview on maya on and then later on actually smooth them, including uvs and edit the topo to lower it if its too high. meanwhile the Dragonball z constest is ending tomorrow so here… -

Could be a few things: 1. Double faces. Delete those faces and check if there are more faces in that location. 2. It's just the viewport shadow. Switch to "Standard" shading from "High Quality" to see if it cleans up. 3. Viewport clipping / z-fighting. Your objects may be very large and close together. Turn off backface… -
