Thanks for the kindly words @Bwample1 Yeah, I want to start to sculpt his sword and time device to look the full character armed. I just need to make some change on the sword design, I'll trim the tip to look more like the traditional Ekko weapon (like more rectancular shape) :)
By nature trimsmoothborder is a very aggressive brush. With the trim brushes you can gain more control over edges by alternating between zsub(default) and Zadd. It takes a bit of practice but does help. The fact that you have a large brush size means it'll always be more difficult to control in tight areas.
Yeah, play with the forms some more. You seem like you havent really gone in and SCULPTED on that guy yet. Also member what I said in skype if your trying to put some stylization into the shapes try the trim dynamic brush. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBwbln1dlcc[/ame]
Looking great Miles. For some feedback I'd say to watch out for the overall contrast. You have a lot of near black, and the gold by comparison is super bright. I would lighten up the dark values, and put a top down gradient on the gold trims, so it gets more muted towards the base.
Look at your reference more... Your sense of scale is WAY OFF in your surrounding village building. Those rocks are way to big and don't look realistic. You have too much banding in your tiling trim textures. Your sky box does not reflect your lighting, change one.
If this is for a racing game, then the polycount is okay. If this is for Battlefield, you're way over budget. You shouldn't extrude the 3 trims around the windshield: just use a single slanted loop and use normal maps. Same goes for the tire threads. And most definitely the same goes for all the tiny screws on the lights,…
Thanks, yeah I need to weed out some of the arch viz section. Put a ton up there originally just to see what looked good, but haven't yet had a chance to trim the fat. Also, which textures seem low res to you? Everything up there is 2k. Think it should be higher?
I'd say you have a lot of stuff and you could definitely do some trimming. There's so much to look at it feels overwhelming. I'd suggest making the homepage much more simple, grouping projects together instead of showing off each screenshot on the front page. Good stuff though overall.
yeah this is looking great! Edit: I think your trim in her jacket and stockings is getting a little thin, and it might not be so visible from the game PoV. The heart shapes pop pretty nicely though and I really dig your over-all color scheme! keep up the great work!
Hi, I recently made this trim for a clothing piece my character is wearing and ideally i'd like to adjust the thickness, its way off the concept and probably needs to be about double the thickness. I'd like to adjust the outer edge, however world extrusion, and other methods give me funky angles. If anyone could advise itd…
