I totally agree. I never saw game environments on CGHUB's front page, and I've already seen a few awesome ones so far. We'll see if that continues as time goes on.
It didn't seem to fix the issue for me. :( I'm going to continue to investigate - I have got it to work by a combo of turning on and off the update maps checkbox, the hardware mode and recompiling the directx shader.
It's "good" to see that the clusterfuck continues in other competitions. So let me guess, will the next domwar competition have the final results redone aswell? What a kick in the face to everyone involved in this one.
I recommend that someone else should do the concept for the terrorblade set if you have the time to make the concept. If you want I can continue and finish the weapon and include that as part of the set?
if you are smoothing, press shift, click on where you want to smooth and hold, then let go of shift and continue smoothing. Releasing shift activates a different smoothing algorithm that is better for this kind of topology.
Thanks FourtyNights, I took a look at the legs and it was actually the torso was too short. I've continued to tweak the model and work on the anatomy. And here's a turntable that I rendered out. https://youtu.be/78fxUWQpFy4
Did you move the "Blur" slider to zero? You don't have to rebuild the mesh every time you ctrl+drag in dynamesh. That's sort of the whole point of it - continuous sculpting with good topology.
Since I'm moving more into 3D now, just want to update here that I'll continue to post my progress in here Thanks for those who supported me and follow my progress. :)
Well, I don't feel motivated to continue it so this is how it ends. Time to move onto the next one. Thank you all for your invaluable help, I learnt a lot with this one (:
These are all amazing. Just wish I hadn't seen that imp altar (the fishy thing in the middle.) Now I don't know if I want to continue working on mine for this months noob challenge...
