Updates are looking great! There are a lot of interesting old, ornate cash registers. If you want to take a victorian, decorative route on furnishings and stuff in the shop. Also, have you considered adding this to the Polycount Tower? It seems like you could fit a modified version into their setup pretty easily.
Yeaahh, The original story was that she was a singer who joined overwatch just for the publicity. Maybe with the kpop vibe... but then somewhere along the way I added a Victorian hat and liked it so she got completely changed. So yep. It's quite hectic and I need to pick a country and stick with it.
Just my opinion: If you're not going to re-light and re-texture the "machine room" and "Victorian slum" I'd recommend you take them out entirely. The poor lighting and texturing on those scenes is really bringing the quality of your portfolio down.
If there's anybody out there who is still interested in making a collab, how about this: 1. We make the game in Unity3D, so we can play it in browser and use multiplayer. I would rather use UDK, but it lacks the sort of instant gratification we're looking for. People want to feel that their hard work is going to be…
@ivanzu: thanks man @lluc: put more color into the shadows you mean, make it less grey? i'll try it out, though the setting is a victorian industrial like city, not very healthy environment, so i was thinking the grey resembled that, but thannks for the feedback!
Aw man, i started a steampunk/victorian interior and after watching yours, it's so amazing that got me discouraged. Mine looks nothing like yours...! Can i ask you something, how can you change the color/material from a sculpted ornament detail that is in a normal map?
@KMNettelbladt it is looking cool! your bake is pretty nice! but i think you have to look for the wood orientation on the grip, but yeah still wip i know ;) nice! keep going! Here is where i am: changed the ornaments to a kitbashed/handpainted victorian thing. but it will work much better i think
LATEST UPDATE: Heya, Joining in on the fun, the plan is to make a Victorian gentleman explorer meerkat version of Teemo. Heres some pictures I will draw inspiration from: And heres the basemesh: Next I will start playing around with shapes and proportions in ZBrush, and adding details :)
Really nice sculpt. I think you could work on the eyes a bit more. In the concept they have an awesome wild, almost scared look which is kinda victorian and awesome. Your's are a bit more knowing and sinister so if you were going for that then good job obviously, but I prefer the wild better hah.
The other argument is that not every movie needs to be smart or challenging, and Pacific Rim - to my knowledge - never claimed to be either of those things. So people running it down for not being what it never intended to be is silly. Might as well get irritated at it for the lack of Victorian period costumes at the same…
