Nice work! Can you share a bit about how you approached the skin material? Curious what layers you used, and if SSS is involved. I'm doing a bit of research into SSS techniques, curious about your skin workflow.
Have you considered placing stained glass in some of the windows? Aside from adding some realistic spots of color and letting you play with some fun projected textures, it would also allow you to tone down the intensity of the sunlight, reducing the contrast between lit and unlit areas.
Looking really good man. Can we get some wireframes as well? The texturing and modelling seems to be pretty sound, but I really think the lighting could be pushed a bit further. Everything seems to be lit in a pretty flat manner. Get some deeper shadows and hotter light sources.

Here is the blockout I created today, as well as a quick lighting setup in Marmoset Toolbag 3. Getting the basic shapes down and lit within the engine, quickly helps to see if things are reading well, the scale feels correct and the composition looks nice: Still a bit of tweaking to do and playing about with the camera.
I really like the idea behind this, seems pretty fresh. I love Tortoise too! =D I think things will look a bit better once the scene is lit properly. Try rendering the light mass out on preview and adding some more shadow samples to get some depth into the scene.
