Nice to know u are using Blender. 3dsmax can handle heavy scenes I agree. I have tried eevee.: Just a lighting test. I do intend to go back to 3dsmax at some point but right now Blender is killing it. )
It's not bad at all, though the wheels need a lot more depth, and the rear bumper is too blocky. One could nit-pick about a few more details, but meh. If it's of any use, and if it works as intended, have a look at my 1969 GTO reference folder.
I agree with the comments above, the shape of the moss is feeling weird. Also, is this intended to be a tileable texture or one that covers an entire floor? If it's tileable, you'll see all these shapes repeating very clearly. Perhaps this is something better achieved in the material rather than the texture.
After reading your initial post, then... The above reply, it's hardly surprising you're finding things challenging at the moment. I'd recommend that you honestly evaluate whether your intended career path is an attainable end goal. (..didn't bother clicking the portfolio link)
I assume you intended to have a different take on the character so I don't really have any crits regarding proportions or anything, but I second the advice of turning down the AO a bit, or whatever it is that's causing some spots to be pitch black on the model, such as these:
Seems to work now, although when a material's metalness is set to 1, all specular lighting is gone and it just leaves a very dim cubemap... Is this intended behavior or not? At least to me, a material with a metalness value of .9 looks more metallic than one with 1.
Thanks for your input! I've needed to do some in-depth research to make sure everything actually works as I intend it so you've saved me a lot of work. The roman numerals are a better idea too and I will switch to them right away.
Am I childish for chuckling at Tits commenting about the, well, tits? lol Anyways, nice model. It's coming along nicely. Do you intend to add some more pronounced skin pore detail, further down? Or is that beyond the scope of this base mesh?
nomatter what creature you do and how weird it looks claim everytime that it is intended this way nad refer to freedom of speech in terms of art and never listen to people claiming to want to help you, dhey dont they just want to piss you off
it's apparently by design: http://community.wbgames.com/t5/Support-for-PC/June-23-Update-on-PC-Performance-PLEASE-READ-FIRST/m-p/572903#U572903 "Expected: 30fps (capped). The Recommended Spec is intended to deliver an experience on par with the current generation of gaming platforms."
