right one for you gods out there. can I rescale things in max to a relative dimension? IE, select item, tell it I want X to be 25cm and it rescales uniformly? I've not found a rescaling option in max yet except for using percentages.
Adjusted the area around the firepit and added more items there, also built an actual fire and put a burnt piece of meat over it. Also made a wood cutting area off to the side.
yes it very probably had everal items with edit poly on , but the weord thing is that at the beginning shows dll problem loaded, and there was also a dll relative to cryengine lol ... dunno how that ended there.
Hey :) I was working on a new blockout the last couple of days :) what i wanna do is a customizable AR 15 style weapon. with different Items, that can be switched out. Here is what i have so far: c&c is very welcome!
@Orbit If the item has a sharp edge/ seam where you're having problems putting them together, an easy thing would be just to have them as separate slightly intersecting geometry :)
Overall looking good, some of the scratches seem a little random though(not gained through use)i would consider thinking about how these items, but that's the only thing i see
I think it need more things\items to compose the scene, like junk and fungi, and specially a LOT of dirt on textures. Dust too, around the lights to give the feeling of stagnant air.
Newer stuff will always be better but the basic concepts should be the same. The buttons might not look the same or menu items might not be in the right place in UDK, but the ideas and information should be mostly applicable.
