You don't have to make windows with 'space' outside for this to be sci fi. If you just made the scene white/clean then it is dull/uninteresting to look at. Why not try Windows 7, Ged ? It's not so hard to get that for free at the moment. I got it from a co-worker who is an MVP so he has free MSDNAA and a whole bag of keys. The script can really only work correctly using Free directional lights, because they are position insensitive.
