you should definitely ramp up the detail on this. 3G phones are old news. for making more interesting gameplay mechanics, you could make it so that the player moves forward automatically, you can steer him and you get a "brake" gauge that is limited and/or replenishes. Would make for less painful thumbs too!
I'd like to have a bike as well, perhaps when I find a better job. I'll trade the old truck in for one to start out. My dad has a sharp looking Harley he goes cruising on everyday. I'd rather have one I can put scatches on. Nothing too shiny.
looks cool. Maybe add some slight bowing to the wooden frame...with this being as old and worn as it is it surely wouldn't be so perfectly straight. You do it a little bit on the stairs, but everything else is too right angled. I really the spots where the paint is worn/chipped off and the wood is exposed. That looks…
Hey, fellow game artists! I'm a 2D concept artist (Oh good lord, that's all such old work and I need to update it with a bunch of unseen stuff soon soon soon! ) with several years of experience in the Game Industry and a background in editorial illustration. I've puttered around with Max some but this week I've decided to…
I just adore your style! This new one is nice too!! You should submit both!! The latest version of your old composition is great btw. I like her looking a head and shooting. It suits the pose more. :3 Cant wait to see more progression in your second one. :3
thanks, it worked on my new simple substance, let me see if it works on my old complex one. One more thing - for some reason if I insert a graph in some other graph I can't change its size at all - no matter if it's relative to parent or absolute. I should research this too...
Thanks for the nice words Bearded Mike. Sister wanted a 3D printed princess for her birthday so I decided to use my old bust for that. Going to print it in colored sandstone. I might also print the healer character I did some time ago too. Will definitely post pictures
Good trick, but nothing entirely new. There other ways such as cutting the mesh to make verts right on where the bolts would be on a low poly clone. Then just delete the clone and apply on your old copy of the mesh. Just a long as you don't mess with the UVs or the low poly geo too much. To each their own.
The viewport is outdated I agree, but you have to remember Maya is over 10 years old now. I just hope Autodesk have a roadmap with a rewrite of Maya's viewport somewhere down the line - although it's probably too mammoth a task. Oh well, I'll still dream of realtime AO and massive polycounts. :(
i dont have any issues with the OS or just plain old surfing, (widescreen pron!!!! j/k) i just cant run ANY frickin games now, world of warcraft is assing itself now too, i may have to return this thing, but damn i dont want to it looks amazing
