This wall is mirrored so i'ts using the same uvs position for both sides, but for some reason in one side the trim normals are inverted. I have the same setup inside blender and the normals look fine there. Any tips on what i can try to fix this? Some update, the problem seems to be happening because i have the trimsheet…
Hello, I have this model which uses mirrored uvs i have set this up in max offseting them by 1.Also my mirrored side UV's are inverted to get a good bake in SP. If they aren't inverted my bakegets screwd up (fbx 2014-2015). If you are using mirrored uvs. Does this mean if you are using text decalls/stencils the mirrored…
Okay so I made a different material and I think this is much better. Still needs some adjustments in the saturation department, and the height on the edges may just have to go entirely since this is almost the lowest it can be. Then figuring out the transition in-between sides as there should be showing the edges of the…
Maybe my description wasn't clear enough, so I've made some images to explain what I did and my problem: Step 1: I create a simple CAT rig (for this example the standard 'clown') and add an abs animation layer. Step 2: On frame 0 I move the hand back to where I want it to swing to - no frame gets created on the time bar,…
I'd just block it out first. If you start to model it before you understand the shape/form then you'll go wrong. The issue is there are multiple profiles here in several dimensions. The top cap is square, then the next profile is rounded around the front, but squares off each side and flows into the cylinders at each side.…
Thanks heaps for the detailed reply. I have started to look into parkerized steel and it is used quite frequently. Now I have a question that you most likely already knew I would ask, is parkerized steel considered 'metallic'? The Parkerized Steel in Substance Painter says it is Metallic but not sure if this is accurate.…
I can't get the same results with the append zsphere , I actually can0t move the zsphere into a symetrical position and seems ot only slide front and back or up and down, then I copied ur settings on the picture but the best I coudl do is thise mess... how do I use this thing?…
If you are using 3DS Max it has an option to preserve UVs while editing the geometry, I used it all the time specifically for this purpose. If you're using Blender, which it looks like you are if that 3D cursor is any indicator... then your options aren't great because its UV preservation only works with sliding. Still…
Thanks for kind words, again :P Huge thanks dude, been using a lot of your textures as inspiration on this one :) Had some more time to jump on and do some work this afternoon, I added some soft friction wear near some areas of contact and made some big changes to the metal on that weird track piece the slide sits within.
Of course but I brought to comparison red dead redemption and crysis , they both have huge world spaces to explore , lot od dynamic interactive elements and physics pluses ... whats the plus in those games that the Bethesda new engine doesn't have ? and especially on the water topic what's the state of the art best way to…
