Hey y'all. I feel that this one is almost wrapped up. I'm just trying to get the face right though. I've gone back and re-sculpted it a little, as well as give her more polys in her face. I feel that she is much cuter than she was before. But I hear the mouth area is still a little off. Any suggestions? -

Woohoo, I got back to work on this a day early! Wrapped up the normal details and moved on to texturing in DDO. Here's the second iteration of textures I did. Threw the first pass out. Going for a "bee-ish" vibe. Super dig how the lights are turning out. This is my first entanglement with emissive maps and I'm digging them… -

sheeeit it begins. just snagged the witcher 2. started playing oblivion again recently but on 360, and after putting 40 hours into it so far just cant justify grabbing it on pc. ill wrap my 360 playthrough and then move onto skyrim in a few months. seriously though, if you even thought about getting the witcher 2, doooo… -

@joeriv: I'm using 3ds Max Studio. I UV wrap in the old fashioned way of seaming the model then placing them across the UV space. And here's an example of one of my old UV unwrap works attached. @dustin: Thank you for the recommendations. I'll make sure to look into each, though I have already seen the Digital tutor videos. -

I wouldn't get wrapped up in the actual amount of polygons, unless you have specific limitations such as for a mobile platform. Just use what you need and what makes sense in the context that it will be used for. If the model works with less. Don't add more geometry to make it 40k polygons just because you "can". Use what… -
