omg you should really post some update soon I'm such a fan! Will you be adding textures soon? :D you're making really good progress so far! just watch out with the paint on the helmt and the leather of the shoes! it's easy to end up with plastick instead ;)
Agreed with everything that was said so far. One reason for the grass being so high contrast seems to be that the tufts are mostly unlit. Maybe a translucent/transparent shader that can't receive shadows or needs some serious dialing in? Either way, it's a major problem that needs solving. There doesn't seem to be much of…
looks cool so far. A couple of things bother me tho. His lower eyelids are super inset at the bottom, feels like he might be missing fat pads beneath his eyes. That and he looks like he´s tensing his neck muscles, might relax those a bit
Did the tree, trying to be simple and more painterly. Could have done a lot more detail in the grass. Also I need to start being careful with my brush strokes. You can see some obvious outlining strokes in the sky around the tree. My fav so far. Had a blast.
Looks awesome so far, I'm a huge fan of Dark City and can already see the influence. :) The help with the contrast, since you already have a lot of green in there, balance it out with some more reds and push some complimentary harmony in there. The hallway stick out because of this, with the green walls and the reddish…
You do know right that most airsoft replicas are not 1:1? Unless you have a GBBR one that is. But looking good so far. Not a fan of the stock wrap, I prefer the good old duct tape cheek riser, but I'd say also just be careful not to have too tight edges.
Moving along with the scene. Got the rest of the stones and spawn platform unwrapped and textured. Have to finish up the walkway tiles and finally get to those fences. Also going to add some more color variation to the stones of the platform. Been playing with how to setup grass in unity. Made a couple of "minecraft" style…
All right, this took a little longer than expected, so I'm going to reply to things that everyone forgot they said. Thanks for the replies, anyway. Concerning the proportions (since that's what most people comment on, I might as well answer them in one go): I'm not so much interested in creating an attractive or realistic…
Nice stuff, dudes! This is looking cool so far. I'm also a huge fan of the Advance Wars series, so it's always nice to see games in that vein. As far as feedback goes I've got a couple of suggestions. I hope you guys don't mind that I did a couple of quick, crude paintovers, but I thought it might be clearer than trying to…
