Hey, I've attempted to use spline modelling methods in 3DS Max to model two sword hand guards. On both of these attempts the light doesn't play very nice off the bottom of the handle. Any ideas as to what might be going on? The rest of the model is fine.
I think he means he took a handpainted texture and applied it to a mesh. Something like this maybe something he didn't paint and applied it to a sword he built. which is not cool unless it was painted specifically for that purpose.
Sword and shield on the Mery rig! I was inspired by Leona in the latest cinematic, A New Dawn, and how she bulldozed through the log in her path. Here's a first pass at blocking (framerate dropped in gif conversion *cries*):
Well here is a the latest WIP, Optimized and I splashed some colors on it, I'm having some technical difficulty with the sword blade. But hopefully I will have it fixed/colored and rigged by tommorow. Hope you guys like it.
so i started baking finally just some quick test to see if the workflow is working. First image close up with his sword in the background second is gameview topdown. textures are not final! :) they will be better in the end hopefully...
emperor protects(thank you) ! . as clothes go, I don't want to go much further than this. I want to stay on stylised side. I think I kinda lost that "stylised" dirtection with the sword, tho.
thank you for the reply. yeah it could be a good idea. I think i'll change the sword too into a desolator or an abyssal. i'll give it a try the next week when i'm not busy to see how it comes out.
Hi Phoenix. The progress are here, you really improve yourself. I really like the gun and the sword ( the presentation is cool ) but something looks fake with the lambo. Maybe it's because of the lensflare too powerfull, or the lack of an ambiant occlusion.
I love 1, 2 and 5! you have lovely drawing and sword designsss~~~ too bad i can't make 3d >.< best of luck though! look forward to see more artwork design :D
Every time I see the syntax required to format a wiki page, I get a shiver down my spine. But I'll still try to chip away at some pages here and there. You have my sword.
