thank you very much :) did a robot today - probably an hour and a half for the model and then another 30-45 minutes for textures. dunno if I'm gonna post everyday (seems kinda excessive), but maybe it'd be cool to be able to look back and see a complete log of everything I did over an extended period, and it'd help keep me…
Some stuff I've been working on since last time: A bison man! I'm currently messing around with fur shells to make him all shaggy. First the Zbrush stuff: Here's the LP. He's somewhere around 9500 I think. Then I made this little robot for the 3D Motive contest: And some random Zbrush stuff made with polymeshes:
I'll see your warrior ganesha and raise you a robot shiva PS: You should check the rules of how to post in this part of the forum. Basically you create a thread which becomes your sketchbook, and you can keep posting works in progress and such in your sketchbook thread. See everyone has the same naming convention on their…
I'd 86 the robot ani that starts your reel. Its obvious that you have skating even though you cut the feet off. As what others have said maybe focus on something and get really good at it. I feel like you have spread yourself a bit thin and it shows. Hope I'm not being a complete doucher here!
Unfortunately I haven't worked on this in a very long time :( I've been working on a realistic sci-fi scene and a robot instead... I don't think I'll finish this as a town. Probably just display the props for my demo reel However, I can always come back to it after I graduate which I think is what I will do.
yeah you know what you are totally right, like programming robots, i was going to say they were just training people fill the slots for their next group of lay-offs but i shouldnt say things like that since im on the outside looking in and would still love to work for EA or any game company that would be willing to give me…
Well, I'm not familiar with any of Ed's other movies. I know of "Glen or Glenda" just because of the movie "Ed Wood," but that movie doesn't really seem to fit the quote. The only other guess I have is "Robot Monster," since that's about the only other terribly bad 50's era Sci-Fi movie I can think of.
Heres a quick update. Mirrored it so it makes a bit more sense than just half a robot. Working now on the joint of the foot. still need to add hydraulics to the legs and the radar system on top and the missile pods on his back. Also still need to get some armor and the claw from his arms on there.. Let me know what you…
So do you mean you're saying it should be a lot more casual that doing robot arms? Here's 2 other arm types I tried out, I'm also going to do a bit inbetween throw and walk, but not done that yet.
