You can Use Z-Brush, and it can nearly be as versatile as Photoshop, as well as a #d program in some cases. I'd suggest ZBrush as it looks great on your Resume as well. I know no one that uses Cinema 4D. However Maya does work on a Mac apparently Scott
Your Z-Buffer is too inaccurate. Usually that only happens when viewing objects very far away. Perhaps something set it to 8-bit, try fiddling around with your view and driver settings (I think Ati cards can enforce a certain ZBuffer depth).
i seem to have introduced a problem when editing my zbrush configuration and standard-brush (simply toggled off 'dynamic' and oversaved the preset): the standard brush now behaves in a strange manner after the application has finished loading and i can see that in the brush palette some settings are indeed unusual and…
Before the Z warriors, there was only Roshi... I've always thought it would be really cool to have a background story on the adventures of Master Roshi, how he gained power and fame as a human. This was a personal project I've done in order to gain better understanding of anatomy and pose. Also my take on making a…
A suitably generic and yet somehow... ridiculous title. Here he is, he's packing some heat. First my concept. Then a little turntable of where I am at in Z-Brush. Then an little BPR thing. Really hoping I can get this one finished and into the ol' portfolio-o-o-o. Would love to hear any feedbacks or opinions. :-)…
Hey guys, So I'm messing about with the audio controller in 3Ds Max, taking individual layers from my new song and exporting them to different rings of a model. I've set my frame-count to 5000, however when I import a sound to the Z Position of the model, it only gives me 100 frames or so of the actual waveform. - Sythen.
So my friend make a walk cycle for my character. But it moves forward, which is unsuitable for it to be put in blend space. I solve it by moving the world controller back with the exact translate z of the character. It works in marmoset, but when i export it into unreal the mesh still moves forward. Any solution? Maybe…
Substance does work on Linux, at least the old Allegorithmic versions had dedicated Linux installers. If you still have a key you can get them from here: https://www.substance3d.com/legacy-builds/ Supposedly the steam versions still support Linux, I'm not sure if that is through the proton emulation layer or if it's…
Another way is to: 1. Select Mesh and go into edit mode 2. Select all faces (or those you want the texture on) 3. Go to UV editor window 4. Select all the UVs 5. Go to the 'image' tab at the bottom and choose an image In the 3D view you can go to textured view with alt+z
Very useful! Sometimes i find myself aligning a pivot to the vertex. Speaking of that. Is there any where on the interface where it will display vertex coordinates? Or is channel box the only place it displays? I wish it would display at the top where X: Y: Z: is. That way, I can just copy and paste with speed to align…
