You can also randomly cut off random chunks of stone, and say it was damaged. Regardless I think that statue is least of the problem on the scene, especially since you can hardly see what it really is on the concept. Just grab random picture from internet and try to make something similiar.
Good start but try to tell a story with the object and it's textures. If it's a axe used in battle show some battle damage. Also look at real axes for reference. YOu have areas that are way too smooth to be believable. Same thing for the wood. The wood wouldn't be cut in such a way for an axe. Use reference. cheers!
Its supposed to be painted metal that has been polished. I added some damage to the texture to make the metal stand out, again its my first texture so I'm a bit inexperienced with texturing. Ill see about making it simpiler, as for a referance picture.... Something like that but a bit shinnier
Its looking good. I don't know how true you want to stay to the reference, but a lot of the steps in the reference have chunks taken out at the bottom and you have scratches; at the very least, I'd try to take out a chunk or two here and there on the steps to make it look more damaged.
To be honest I'm glad he was found not-guilty even if he is a complete fucking freak. AFAIK there was no hard evidence present whatsoever. I hope he'll hush up now and hide away, too much damage has been done to even think about buildin up a career again.
I bet there's no gore because DC doesn't want to hurt their brand image, in the same way the Gran Turismo games didn't allow you to damage the cars. The MK Franchise hasn't been on my radar since 1996, but the teaser looked interesting. And yea, Batman's got a lot of jaw going there.
Anyone else find this to be completely stupid, that someone can't sell ORGINAL, unused versions of software? It's a product, and not even used at all, so it doesn't go under the used-market-damages-developers-argument. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-09-14-court-ruling-threatens-used-games-market
One way... make intact windshield a separate entity that can be hidden. At impact, hide windshield, unhide a pre-created damaged windshield entity that has jagged edges around the window frame, and also spawn a particle system to eject glass-shard-like particles. Check out Flatout2 for example.
i think it would help if you posted the reference up..i would add more depth by increasing the polycount, for example the arches should demand more polygons for a more rounded feel. add damage to the pillars, maybe add more debris on the floor..everything's looking pretty good Davett29
Hello, I am having an issue with baking a procedural texture down in Blender, for reference this has been my standard workflow for a while now without issue but for some reason this time the Normal map is producing really ugly harsh results - like there's a setting wrong somewhere. Normally it's the opposite issue with the…
