I'm not quite sure what Star Citizen wants to be yet. But for Elite:Dangerous, seems it's just a new Privateer 2 game. I want more Eve Online-esqe. I don't want to just fly around, shoot, mine, and trade. Give me progression !! And not just buy new ship progression.
@ Reza: Yeh thanks man, that was definitely the plan for the low poly :) some progress with the head piece now, all baked down and progressing with the texture, just diff and normal atm no masks yet, going to use some polys from the hair and use them in the hood as its looking a little faceted atm.
Here I am, back with some few progress. Here he has the whole body now plus the clothes. Everything is still in WIP, specifically the face. I'm making a lot of retouchings in there. Yes, he only has one eye lol I'll try to upload more progress later. :3
Thanks for the feedback. I'll start a full weapon and post some progress pics here. I actually continued to go small with pistols. I have a few but I just refused to texture them lol. I will start texturing one and then post some progress pics as well. Maybe today or tomorrow.
Progress update. Armor block out is done. i will add sword and helmet later. I switched to Zbrush. My computer can't handle sculpting in Blender once i pass 500k verts. Cool to see how everyone gathers startup refs! Can't wait to see progress shots!
Progress Update 5: This week I didn't make enough progress, there are still a lot of mesh need to be UV and textured. Anyway I had export all textures with the RMA method. Fixed the random substance metalness problem. Added a few more mesh (Like pipes, tables and ceiling light) and that is it.
OK so here is the latest progress, the main arch which i created previously didn’t work for me so I started a brand new scene. There are still some things which most certainly needs to be changed but I though I show you my progress so far.
Made a couple more props, but not much progress in the scene itself! Gonna make a few more props before I do most progress shots on the environment. :) The painting is a bit WIP, as you prolly can tell. ^^ All details were nDo'ed and then textured with dDo. No highpoly. Any feedback is appreciated! :)
Mesh is place-holder. He needed something quick for his lighting and composition so he got it very dirty. Might as well do a progress update too then... UV mapping is done, currently sculpting, and messing around with XSI hair to come up with something that works for him. Mudbox progress:
