Have not used UDK in a while but I remember if there is zero thickness to modular parts you will get this kind of light bleeding. -

That one is good for modular pieces, but not for things like wires or things that have a bit more of an organic flow, hang, etc -

You'll notice that Epic often hides this using modular meshes with bevelled edges and such; that way the seam is even less visible. -

That's do-able with a modular system + multi-texturing + a few unique pieces. You just have to break it down into layers. -

Pivot point placement?
Curious what the general consensus is for placing pivot points for modular assets? I’ve seen back right, I’ve seen back left. Is one better than the other? -
Curved arches
Hey I was wondering how do I got about modeling (modular) arches that are curved such as those in the picture. Would I take a straight arch and use a path deform?
