I'm a little late to the party on this one but I cant help but post a reply I'd love to work at a studio for a console game that has unique, captivating game play and trying to do something different rather than trying to sell x amount of copies. I'd take a pay cut for that! -the studio would look something like this:…
Oh I wont disagree that implementation should be overlooked nor did I imply otherwise, but most of the time there's not much to be impressed by or something evident enough to find impressive. For example, the impressive part comes not from the game, but coming on here or say reading Vertex and seeing how the artist made…
I have been living in Seattle for just 8 months now, so some of the more established Seattleites will probably have more useful information. I live in Belltown currently, which is the district just north of downtown Seattle proper. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area (all overpriced), and tons of new apartments and…
Just putting a feeler out for this: Is anyone on Polycount who plans or has gone to GDC, at all interested in joining and performing on a "comedy night" for an evening during GDC? So I can assign the same surface to it and it will get all of the same details. Then I can also add another layer to it in dDo to say make it a scratched painted metal…

- Gallows: Yeah, and I'm also planning on adding a very simple cockpit - Xoliul: It's actually a different part called a slat, which can move up and down, that's why I modelled it apart from the rest of the wing. The wobbliness is probably due to the raytrace material. Small update + isolines:
