iirc we're using that sort of number on ps4 characters Most of the enemies will have a lot less detail and there will be LOD rigs so it's not like they're dealing with 20 full catwoman rigs at once

I haven't used 2013, but usually this happens to me during Autosave/backup. When I'm working with a really high poly model, I'll change autoback from 5 minutes to 20.

whats in your scene? pretty difficult helping you optimize it with some more info? and 20 rays isnt that much either, so sounds like your machine might be too weak.
I see that a lot. Especially weapons modelers, thinking that just because they have a fairly high poly cap they can afford to always use 20 sided objects. Nice example, anyway.
