hey Polycount! this is my latest personal project: Spec Ops cat! i did it to get out of my comfort zone (which is mostly medieval-fantasy themed). It was a challenge to wrap my head around hardsurface design principles, but the end result was worth the effort.
I cannot work out why the spec and cavity maps are inverted. The normal definitely is not and I cannot see any options to toggle inversion like in crazy bump.
title pretty much says it all. I was wondering if there is a way to show spec and bump maps in viewports. I've tried looking but can't seem to find any way to show them.
I was curious if anyone has worked on any 3D Mobile games. I started playing around tonight and was only able to come across this image What is the typical polycount for a 3rd person game? It looks like textures are 32x32 or 64x64 for main character. I found screenshots of games but no specs. Thanks
Hey guys, for an art test I need to have the specular and gloss in the alpha channel. Unfortunatelly Xoliul doesn't seem to support this, are there any other good shaders for 3ds max that will allow me to use the alpha for spec etc ?
I want this to be nice quality for current games, this is the mid poly.. I'll be cutting it down to the low later.
