Cool! Using just a ball point for these? I'm undecided wether or not I'll keep myself to B/W only for the whole month, but I think I'll learn a bit by keeping to it.

How much are you gonna texture? It seems from the video a lot of the "awe" came from the intensive lighting work and maybe shader adjustments in w/e engine they were in.
Maybe try a better way of presenting it in a lit scene /w contrast of light and shadow, and something that allows ur material definition to pop through. This feels flat and underwhelming currently
yes, its a 20 pixel padding. The fact is that only those borders (with and w/o padding) are getting jagged. is that normal? wasn`t suppose to exist at least an little AA in there?
