I have taken the model into Marvellous designer to build a foundation for the clothing. I am struggling with this quite a lot, particularly with making the cloth sit well with the metal rings and overlapping pieces. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Finished! Changed up the soldiers to more rebel faction. Much thanks to Quixel resources, Johnathan Ching's Post-Apocalyptic kitbash kit, bits and bobs from CGTrader. Some clothing designs were done in Marvelous Designer.
Man, that would have been a great game if it was built with a good story mode and epic battles that make you feel like a superhero. I so want to play as Iron Man, he's my favorite Marvel character.
Picture a canary - no picture it with blue and yellow polka-dots, that is the marvel of human imagination. Now imagine a apace game with Team Fortress styled textures & shading. Or wait for me to finish my sci-fi zero-G shooter.
It's also easier to do cutscenes for mods when cutscenes use in-game graphics. But the WORST in-game cutscenes are the crudely drawn "motion comics" used in Marvel Heroes Online. NEVER do that if you have any choice, please?
Thanks for the feedback I will definitely improve my clothing skills once I have bought Marvelous designer. Also thanks for the link, I've been reading some of their other articles I just haven't got to this one.
Blocking of the lower armor is pretty much done. I've started with the blockin in Marvelous Designer. I'm no pro at this so its a good practice. struggling and learning a lot as I go. Tomorrow ill start blocking the upper torso.
Check out this video tutorial : https://lesterbanks.com/2016/11/marvelous-designer-uvs-maya/ Not a direct answer to your questions, but it will give you a good understanding of the general topic. Also a pretty useful technique in some circumstances.
Thank you for feedback! Pants have defiantly been a struggle, still learning Marvelous and haven't really done any. I will twick around with them as soon as I get some free time(finals week T_T).
Productivity has been up and down lately but I'm working on a new thing! Still really blocky but wrangling something more mechanical and dipping back into Marvelous Designer has been nice. C&C quite welcome!
