Hey guys, This semester moving on from head modelling we have now moved onto body modelling, so in an attempt to get as much feedback as possible i thought it would be a good idea to post my updates here as well as on my uni forums. (My English is not very good)…When performing hard surface normal baking, this issue often arises: strange fine ridges appear along the low-poly topology. How to fix it?
I've been learning 3D for quite a while now and I've noticed in more recent years hi-poly sculpting/modelling and baking seems to have become standard, regardless of the complexity of the model. I suppose it is ability dependant, but I find the process can take a lot longer when baking, and I wonder whether similar or…

Scenario, very dense highpoly and uv'ed lowpoly assets intersecting in hundreds of spots spread over 50+subtools of varying subdivisions. Methods I've tried-…
A few things to try first off -Make sure your high and low poly are both centered at the origin. -Make sure you freeze the transforms -Make sure you delete the history Try these and see if that works. They we can see about any other potential issues you might run into with the bake.

I don't have much experience with xgen, so I've hit a block now…
help! The preview material option doesn't seem to work in 3.04 for me, at least not like it did before. Albedo bake doesn't show up at all. Normals also look off in the preview window, though correct in the bake (they kind of look how they do in maya when set to SRGB instead of raw, it has a weird sheen that makes me…
