I'm very imperfect about stuff like this. Create one arch, copy it a bunch of times in a straight line, instance it (so you can work on unbent arches later) At this point you can do it two ways: A) Apply the bend modifier to one of the instances of arches (be mindful of your pivot). - You can then scale and edit the…
Hey! So here are some of the things that help me work faster: - show end result hot keyed to ~ (to see the effect of the modifiers while on the Editable Poly or Edit Poly stack) - key map the select loop and ring select - I thought some of you might find this interesting mesh smooth control "MeshSmooth Controls is a script…
@ SCB: Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I only had about 4 colors on at that point, don't worry I won't lose sight of some of the finer details like the green gem. And yes, I've noticed a few normal map errors.. I fixed the foot problem (partially, hopefully) but I'm still working on a few others. Made more progress on the…
I don't think you can remap the delete key, it's probably set at a higher level than CUI hotkeys and it's used in many situations. To change views, go to the customize user interface hotkeys, under category "view" (Also you can type a letter in the hotkey field to see the name of the command. For instance, you know B set…
24 is not too old, I'm more than twice your age (...turn 57 in Feb next year) and even made a career change 18mths ago though out of necessity due in part to a workplace injury. Although non CG related it's a job that keeps hardcover overhead and food on the table which in turn similarly allows pursuit of my singular…
not that it matters now, but you should upgrade at some point to as3 as Actionscript 1 or 2 (more or less the same) is not thought anywhere anymore these days. I used to do a crazy lot with Actionscript 1 and 2 before for more than 10 years but I can't do it straight out of my head anymore because it is as3 these days all…
With characters maybe not :D , because you can't see the curvature on a head for example. And more if you a working with a very low poly subdiv base mesh. I was customed to work with instances in Max long time ago, but since modo appeared, that thing of welding vertexes is history hehe, steps i save. Convert to regular…
Blender for example has an additional option for symmetrical edit: Toplogy Mirror.. so even if not absolutly symmetrical the edits are mirrored.. IDK Maya good enough to tell when it uses this..
|||UPDATE||| Retopology video: [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icqPZnD_3lA[/ame] This video is a little different, as it's not a "crash course" so much as a workflow demo with a lot of pointers. I hope you enjoy. |||UPDATE||| Alright so this is pretty much an all in one look at Blender, mainly covering UI/modeling…
How confident is this character supposed to be? I love the big breathing before the exit because it makes him look like he is having it build up his courage to exit. On the other hand, the contrapasto pose (ex. F250) look quite relaxed and confident. Both are cool, but right now they don't seem to tell the same story.
