Titan of the West “At the Western edge of the world stands a giant guardian, ever facing the wind, ever vigilant. It will not allow you to cross the edge of the world. It controls the winds with it’s magic sword and will send you homewards if you near the border of oblivion.” Well that is obviously a problem for anyone…
Spotting Easter Eggs in various games like Division 2, Bleeding Edge, Batman Arkham Knight, and more always brings a smile to my face. 1B05 & 1B07 are lecturer rooms from the Games Art courses at the University of Hertfordshire. ;)
Pardon my french, but no reason to be stuck in 1996 mate. Use a sculpting app (e.g. zbrush, mudbox), and do retopology afterwards if you really need them edge loops. (via 3dcoat, topogun, modo, maya's nex, etc ..)
I'm trying to select uv edges on my lowpoly model, but the option in the uv editor for selecting contour edges does not work on those types of models. It seems to work fine if you have an extra edge loop between seams, but otherwise it just selects everything. These models basically have the same uv map, the other one just…
@Udjani is there any way to hide the wireframe inside edit mesh mode? Like say, when in vert or face mode, be able to hide the edges being displayed, or when in edge mode, hide anything that isn't the selected edges. edit: I guess playing with the display edges/faces/center overlays is as close as we can get to that atm.
It looks like a smoothing group issue. Is the low poly model all hard edges? If it is then try setting the edges to smooth and re-baking. Here's some documentation on baking with hard edges and smoothing groups:…
I have to second what Mr Tart said, the edges on this are still super crisp, they're not going to look anywhere as good as they would if the edges were really exaggerated. It's looking great otherwise dude, I love the subtlety of the edge sculpt details, cant wait to see it baked..once you've soften those damn edges <3
This: You don't want realisticly hard edges, because they will not bake properly. always think with exaggeration. right now your edges are pretty realistic yes, meaning they are too tight for a bake. you want to pull your supporting edges more away from the edge you want to crispen in order to smooth it slightly and have…
At work i use Maya 2009 Unlimited and we have an option enabled Preserve UV's" at home i use Max 2008,does it have the same option? I also have Max 2010/11 in case they have it. Also in Maya theres Delete Edge that when you select an edge or loop it removes the vert as well. In Max in Editable Poly i click Remove under…
I am "a guy on Modo forums". Best way to control it is with different materials that look the same but have different rounded edge values. You could do it with weight maps, but then you could only control it where there actually is edges. And one benefit using the rounded edge shader is that you just dont build edges where…
