Oh, I'm sorry, totally forgot about that. It is a wahammer 40k dreadnought. A walker-tank that can carry a wide array of weaponry. Here is one of the pictures I use for reference. It is also available as a miniature for a board game called 'warhammer 40k'. I own one of these miniatures and also use it as reference.
i'd say the only influential person working at Valve is a man named Robin Walker. Because, back in 1996, that class based teamy thing was a hell of an influence. He deserves a lot more credit for influence than Gabe Newell, and i'm not even counting TFC or TF2.
finally played this... hot damn I'm sold. Fuckin A! and one of the best mech walker experiences in a videogame.. damn those missiles are sweet, streams of lead death.. feels like you're the tank from ghost in the shell, and all the soldiers are trying to hide behind stuff you just blast to smithereens.. SOLD
Thanks everyone. This is exactly the tips I was looking for. I'll for sure make the changes. @DWalker and @PyrZern I never knew about recruiters downloading and passing around images. Do you think is would be a good idea to have a link to a rar file of my work? for easy access. @DWalker Thanks for the advice on my scene. I…
Scene 11 - The Walkers Here, I repeated the process used in the Scene 04, (The Grasslands) but with the characters walking instead of riding the horses. Here, the only difference was that I had to change the color of the light in the project during the scene in order to make it match with the color of the light in the…
In the top two videos I see meshes by Tor Frick for his one-texture environment, Jordan Walker for his Bathhouse Redux, and also Vincent Joyau's Deus-Ex Apartment. It might be a good idea to actually credit the artist's work that you're displaying. Other than that, decent work!
I played some Serious Sam HD this morning and got inspired to remake some of the enemies. This is the Biomechanoid Major. I am reworking the creature to be a giant slug attached to a chicken walker which is more or the less the idea behind the original design [I think]. The box is human size ref.
I have to say HP that the only one who even comes close to making UDK levels as sexy as yours is Jordan Walker and he's sort of cheating since he works for Epic :P My god this is amazing! PK, your work is fantastic too so seeing the two of you collaborate on a project is awe inspiring!
Protoss Immortal WIP8 Cannon design is mostly where I want it. Going to verify medium details, proportions, and joint anatomy. Self-Feedback: Side gem needs to be inset better into the cannon Raise the torso to accomodate cannon swivel The muzzle cowl needs to taper off on the ends to match the shape language better of the…
Just a quick update on a new project I'm working on. It's a mech/walker inspired by the mech designs of Junji Okubo (Steel Battalion back in the day) and others. I've only managed a quick block out at the moment to check the proportions but here's the quick concept I knocked up and some viewport grabs.
