I think the Zbrush sculpt is about 95% done i might mess with the leather straps a bit more to make them feel a bit more right. does anyone have any feedback, i would be more then happy to hear some.
I modeled an RK-95 for FDF while I was serving there, it was purely for rendering purposes though. Yours looks great! :) Only crit from me would be that the plastic looks a bit too bumpy and rough and could be a bit more matte but that's about it.
@gfelton, thanks man! @lotet, get on it dude!! its pretty slick Makin progress. Bakes are.... i'd say 95% done. I'll post some closeups tomorrow, it's 2am here. Gotta try and get *some* sleep. Almost ready for substance...
Hair styles look horrible in game except for the high res footage. The hair shader makes the hair look like plastic liquorice. 95% of game studios struggle with hair. However, everything else is outstanding, well done! :)
I remember running into this problem with dev on PS2 era games. I think the solution we used was to adjust the UVs of the object - bring the UVs close to the edge, but never actually touch it. So a U value of .95 or thereabouts.
I agree to you 95%. 5% disagree due to my fan-ness of HP series. :( Sorry mate. I did like the Half-Blooded Prince. I guess its time to switch books to Forgotten realms.
Ortho, perspective, or camera view? 95% I'll be working in ortho views. Never had a problem navigating(been using Max since R4) Working in perspective view can be frustrating so I avoid it as much as possible.
In the Materials tab, in color mode. I have a very tough, to near impossible time trying to select a color section and have it actually select the correct selection. 95% of the time it only changes the background and the other 5% it selects some other selection set.
Slowly finishing that desert wreck scene some of you might have seen a while ago, Going to try to be at 95% completion by Sunday. Dem crazy vertex painting, letting me fill sand in the cracks. Yay for tileable textures
