Hey there everybody :) I'm a long time lurker here and an avid Blender user. Over the last week or two I've been assembling a few simple personal workflow tools as an Addon, thinking it may be useful to more people than just myself. I'll list the features below, but to cut to the chase it can either be found (free)…
I'm just presenting all the workflows I know of. Syncviews srcipt is the same as manually averaging faces but you can do it in 1 go. So if you store your face selection you save a lot of time. Unless you have custom tools I'd personally recommend this workflow over anything else. The other scripts are definitely usable…
C++ will replace Uscript, this is new. Instead of using Uscript as language you use C++. The C++ API is for integrating the Unreal engine with the rest of your game. This API has been there all the time and it's not a new feature. But it is not for scripting. It is mainly for integration. Unless you're a coder with the…
Hello guys, I'm new to 3D Modelling and for the moment, I'm working on the 3D Motive tutorial 'The Briefcase'. Great tutorial so far! I just finished my lowpoly and now it's time to start the UVW unwrap. I find this subject very difficult and complicated. The tutor explains everything very well but still I'm having a lot…
I tried out your method. The problem is that my zbrush import script reads out the first group name from the obj and renames the imported subtool. (Otherwise the name of the subtool would be 'exported' all the time.) So when the set's are on, in maya export, the imported zbrush subtool's name ends up with the set's name…
@sunray as far as I know it does transfer Maya blenshapes as you can import/export layers but, I haven't tested it in Maya. Yes, Zscenemanager is brilliant. I bought the Pro as soon as I saw it. As for other plugs I just use the ones in the vid above. If you go to the zscripts and utilities sub-forum on ZBC there are shit…
compared to some of the block heads on the board i consider you a softy. :) i guess some people look at that pic and laugh because they think its a bug. but there is another group of people that laugh because its a feature. i have not really known any animators who would trade in maya for another app once the have worked…
//edit: didnt mention that, but the sprite sheet is for animations, so the images have to go from left to right - top-down Hey all, iam just wondering how a good spritesheet workflow would be. My curently workflow is 1. Render Animation 2. Put all in one Css file on top of each other and Crop 3. Save them out via script 4.…
Just wanted to thank you. Even in 2025 I've been using this script at work and personal stuff. <3 Whenever I switch to a new machine I return to this bookmarked link and re-apply the script. I know you can now double click a face to expand to the whole UV shell, but I'm just so accustomed to mapping this script to a…
I think you got it all mixed up a little... ;) Mirai, Nendo and Max 4 all came out around the same time - 1999-2000. Nichimen's Mirai was the 'next-gen' version of N-World, a 3D package associated with 90's console development - especially Nintendo - which itself originated from an early 3D package developed for a hardware…
