I'm trying to figure out which software is best when it comes to creating normal maps. Does Maya, XNormal, or Substance Designer produce similar results? Or is one superior? Thanks.

i have a small question what its the best way to make modular pieces 1- extract pieces from texture sheet ? 2- model pieces first and then add texture ?

What's the best way to make metal? currently I use the clouds filter and then the sponge filter, but it doesnt really look ok. So, am I doing something wrong here, or is it just me?
