Thanks for all the kind words guys! I hope you'll have no trouble getting into it. createdbyi, that's a very interesting idea. The one problem is Materialing is absolutely free but as far as I know 3DO is still part of the quixel suite, so I don't know if I have any rights to touch that. If they ever release it for free…
Narration Manager (m/f/d) Full-time, on-site Limbic Entertainment is looking for a talented Narration Manager for an unannounced Unreal Engine 4

dude thanks a lot for that awesome feedback! ;D atm i'm having some trouble with the rain entity,... but i think i'm gonna rework the tree first and then go back to the final composition. that tip with tweaking the materials to fit the rainy weather is really what i needed :D didn't think about that. thanks a lot!!
I agree, I like the painted textures but they defiantly need some refinement. I think the biggest issues for me are the crazy lines on the tree, the ground(white?) and the skull. Go play or look at wow images and see how they paint tree textures. The skull isn't in a good spot I cant tell what it is and it seems like that…
Thanks :D Totally agree about the monochromatic color palette. I need to push my leaves to have more color variation for sure. both on the trees and on the ground. I have some trees that have a yellow material override on them but they still just seem orange. I'll push to try to give more color variation. Good idea about…
posted these from this thread link Download Substance Tools Tiny Update I decided to remake the curvature map inside substance designer. The substance designer curvature node map filter comes with a noise issue that was just not great for composting on top of base colors. Especially on clean meshes like the robot low poly…
cool style there, looking good. Reminds me a lot of kingdoms of amalur :D Not sure what the trees are going into, is it water? if so maybe you should try placing a reflection map on it to make it appear more like water? if its mist then it looks cool, at the moment thats what i get from it :D good job so far
I do see quite a few issues with your robot mesh, but I also see it's meant to be a low poly mesh? Check out this tutorial; https://www.pluralsight.com/courses/tips-modeling-complex-shapes-2082 It was the greatest thing to happen to my sub-d skills. You need to create an account and sign up with a credit card, but you can…
If thats true, it could be truly amazing. The reason D&D works is because the small group feels important. It inherently cant work in an MMO setting. I know guild wars tried this with instances, but you still get people outside instances saying "L4G 2 kill goblin 5 times" or something. Crossing my fingers for this one.…
Hello everyone! My name is Karran and I’m a PhD Student at the University of Toronto. I’m working on designing a user-centered tool to visually explore / browse 3-D model repositories and wanted to interact with 3-D artists / designers to understand their needs and motivations for using such a tool. In particular, I’m…
