Hi so I was wondering if I could get an opinion on something. When you finish your model and about to export it, is it a good idea to sometimes remove extra edges. Here I have an example incase I'm not clear. You see I have these two boxes next to each other and they have it where lots of edges to it. Now if I wanted to…
Hello fellow polycounters!!! It's been years since I have posted anything on here, but I am looking to get some feedback and constructive criticism on the latest stuff I have been doing outside of work hours. This first image is my start to modeling a generic urban building. This is my first project for a class I am…

I understand wanting to keep it authentic in terms of the materials in which case CODs famas is a bad example but I think it definitely needs more signs of wear on the plastic parts considering how worn the metal bits are. Deep scratches in the plastic, marks where its scuffed against other surfaces, maybe even some paint…
n-gon is undefined triangles. in max I can spin hidden triangles inside ngons(and polygon) if needed. pretty useful for shaping landscape quickly without sculp tool sometimes uv Quickpeel doesnt want to calculate n-gon properly, so I have to turn it into triangles or quads. for zbrush , n-gon will be turned into tris or…

Space, and as already mentioned very low specs, If I created this I would sculpt out the high, or go crazy and model out (with a good game plan) how to tackle this bad boy. Otherwise Nice progress if you choose to redo it (or edit the…
Yah I think I'm going to buy all the Wallworm tools they look awesome. But it actually looks like Trimble Sketchup would be way better for level design except it produces bad geometry. Is there any software that can re-mesh Sketchup models so they are more efficient?
Yap its very probably. The onyl thing i really need to try is to use image in background or like in the image i post in 1st post cuz for me seems that all that is away from view and under the bridge seems a 2d image or maybe im wrong xD, i already try to make that kind of environemte use only terrain in unity and it seems…
Max viewport hasnt got as many features as Maya. Either you need to find a hair shader material or use Activeshade with an Arnold renderer to preview any hair work in Max, The standard viewport renderer is pretty bad and it hasnt got Arnold IPR like Maya, Or decent quality shadows, Or RTGI. Make sure you set your…
