I think... It would be great to have a piece of modeling software designed from the ground up to suit the games industry. Look at how quickly the substance tools have taken over from the status quo of photoshop. I would love to drop the overpriced bullshit that is Autodesk, in favour of a more directly tailored tool that…
y'all are kickin' some butt! Here's my chicken scratch concept stuffs and here's my character so far, still tons of painting to do. So my idea is she's in somekind of arcane-archaeology guild, being sent out to dig up old artifacts. On one of those adventures she found a little possessed statue that flies around and points…

Your work is good but it does seem unfinished, your cathedral needs a wow centre piece such as a statue and the items suggested by Harbinger. The sci fi wall needs to be made into a whole scene, using modular peices and again needs a point of interest. Age of Conan stuff should be higher up and doesnt need to be separate…
When you open the file, an error should appear in the status box briefly. If you can catch what that error is, you can open the .ma file in notepad, find the string that's causing it, and delete that. I can't look at those files right now but hopefully that gets you on the right track. Also backup those files before you go…
I love it! Although i'm not a fan of the blade-whip. It looks awesome but I feel her to be a super mighty dark witch with such incredible necromancer powers that she wouldn't bother so hold something like a melee weapon. She would just look at you and turn ino a stone statue or something. Like Edea from FF VIII. But anyway…
It has been a long tine since I opened this thread, but I'm still working on this environment. Actually I just finished the sculpt of the statue which was my last big asset for this scene. I also reworked my materials and added some foliage in the environment I'll post more screen soon when I'll be satisfied with the…
Frell: Thanks =) Been standing still for a little while but have a new update of the status at least~ I'm working a bit on what sort of details to add to the front right now, the back has gotten its engine details but right now I'm not sure if I should use NDO for making the bolts and metal crevices in a normal map later…
WIP 05 @Tuscon: The Caravan actually does move across the screen in the game. I could move them somewhere else slightly to reduce the tangency, but if they do make a tangency, it is somewhat inevitable since in-game they do animate. Still need to figre out a better shape for the horse statues and trees. The trees need to…
Thanks for your feedback! It's always hard to not spend too much time with small details too early in the process, but I'll keep an eye on that. That idea about the stairs is something I will definitely try. Could look really interesting, since I plan to add some kind of statue/"logo" in front of that big wall after the…
