you can get whispy from turbulence, and non-directional from fractal.... so it's probably layered fractal and turbulent noise at various scales. Another method could be a custom brush in photoshop....
Yep I knew it:) But now I have started with a concept to my further work while doing my game project besides. I choose a violent sci fi player who kills other player he meets kinda if u have watched running man and rollerball.
I guess Im jaded 'cuse I know what to look for. It's like when you play guitar and here another guitarist play a song 'off', gaaa!@*& A non player wouldn't hear it but.. bugs me. Try telling a LedZep fan that Jimmy Page is sloppy player.(blasphemy!)
Offhand, I might suggest a custom variable that tracks health (reduce it as per what you're already doing, but don't touch the player's actual health). Then once that custom var hits zero, you kill the player (set actual health to zero).
:S dubstyle didn't show any results without a billion bits of punctuation in the name. RobMurda showed up one player, playing Terraria, invitation sent. I must have said hi to some other dubstyle-named player lol.
Congrats so far, it's a lot of work to bring whole game together. I like the atmospheres you've created. Even if the modeling isn't up to date with AAA (it never will be for a solo developer) I think it's good enough to be convincing and create some atmosphere. Of course there are a million little things that can be…
twis isn't one I listen too, but Dr Kiki is pretty hot ;) Personally, I do video podcasts, since my mp3 player is really a media player (with video). I frequent most of the Revision3 lineup. I also use Miro, which has a lot of good suggestions on it.
^^sounds about right. Your software choices make sense if that's what works for you. If you really want to handle a "content creation pipeline" though I think you should also be spending time on the actual art direction if you haven't already, as well as making prototype artwork to see how the actual game itself is going…

SWARMED is a Zombie-themed RPG / RTS currently in development using Unity 3D. We love Dwarf Fortress (though we have no illusions that SWARMED will reach the same level of complexity), roguelikes, old-school point & click RPGs and real-time strategy games. We aim to cross genre-borders here and there and give some twists…
