I dunno, I'm not a huge fighter player but I remember SNK vs. Capcom playing alot differently than Marvel vs. Capcom. I didn't like all the floaty arial combat of MvC, I prefered SvC it felt like there was alot more weight to the characters... and it seemed a bit more brutal but that could be the fact that I played Evil…
Hello Everyone, Thank you for all of the applications, we received portfolios from many talented artists. This position has been filled for now, but if we need anymore help in the future, we will post another listing here! The Infinity Vector Team
Almost ready to wrap this up and do all the tiny details unless there's anything really bad that needs pointing out! Still noodling on the face, getting increasingly frustrated with it so I'm about ready to put my hands up and leave it as is. Definitely going to be focusing on studies for a while after this to fill in the…
People who alter or destroy works of art and our cultural heritage for profit or as an exercise of power are barbarians...Today, engineers can add color to black-and-white movies, change the soundtrack, speed up the pace, and add or subtract material to the philosophical tastes of the copyright holder. Our max exporter at Whatif would do some funky shading when an object had no smoothing groups... not faceted, it was like a single SG but really f'd up. Apparently Max was sending out weird mesh data if there were no SGs at all. Coders said it was all max's fault. ;) I found a pic. No SGs on the left, separate SGs per face…
I agree with some of the general sentiment that the texture needs a little something. Contrast boost, or a little more pre-lighting. And in fact since there are so many little shapes and sub parts to this thing, I think that an ambient occlusion pass using a dirtmap type shader baked into it would seriously make it pop.…
But if you apply the cubemap reflections to your customlighting/customlightingdiffuse, the reflections that are in the shadow of the main light source will be much darker than the faces that are facing the light source. The environment could bounce more light from the "shadowed side" and therefore result in incorrect…
Uhm, it looks like it's more than just the teeth that is missing? Did you check for flipped polygons? I believe Maya shows everything with 2 sided shading so it'd be hard to spot. you can turn off 2 sided lighting by going to the viewport menus Lighting > Two Sided Lighting. To actually spot if they are flipped you can go…
Hi I really like the stager feature in zbrush, but I often find myself wanting to adjust the 'home stage' or 'target stage' positions down the road & I haven't figured out a way to do this. Is it possible? Ive tied up clicking the 'home stage' toggle, adjusting subtools position and then clicking 'home stage' again, but…
hello , i have been wondering about how to achieve a FUR effect on a game character and whats the different methods and the pros and cons for each methode :\ by FUR effect i mean the fuzziness that surrounds the silhouette ... is it a shader or some texture trick ? :poly141: this is an example : Conker Live and Reload
