Modeling tutorials never really helped me much.. What i suggest is to go trough wip threads and look at wireframes and lots of practice ofcourse. -

UV's shoudn't have much distortion on flat planes. Panels could also be modeled and baked down, or maybe just cut the mesh and bake as wireframe. -

Great work on these plants! Is there any chance you will be posting close ups or wireframes. Specifically of the taller plants/tree saplings. :) How many polys for the saplings? -
