Thanks for the responses. @Monster, will Eric's method work for Unity and/or Unreal? Because while I haven't had time to learn to program yet, I have a desire to, so that I could recycle the model for games in the future. Because of that, I would like to use methods that would transfer into a game engine if possible.
I like it, cool monster design but doesn't really remind me of anything described in "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". Not very fishy. In fact I believe when it comes to things like hands and fingers they are described as being quite stumpy and underdeveloped, you've pretty much gone the total opposite direction here.
I am having fun drawing monster and zombies from time to time...http://new.livestream.com/accounts/5851766 yeah Its not a clean link like this : livestream.com/slabreche anyone knows how do that? that would be awesome. lifestream is a mystery for now : ) willing to chat and share some workflow stuff see ya !
Looks sweet man. Think about pushing the stylised thing a little more maybe? He has this monster machine on his back so maybe you could make his musculature a little more top heavy or even push the asymmetry on to the side with the cannon arm. Great job on the facial hair.
thanks for the help every one \ Mark Dygert i tried every Veiwport mode thanks anyway / but do you mean the Software version the DX9 and DX11 are both Nitrous? monster dang i wish I know this earlier I setup and install this morning and just came home to the new install
Thanks! Here's a start on my next model. The Gibbering Mouther is one of my favorite D&D monsters. I've been thinking of making something that will present a unique rigging challenge, so I hope to learn a lot on this one. Once I get all the mouths and eyes in I'll take it into ZB.
That's how I felt from the trial too. I freakin' hate when I accidentally hit 'Browse' instead of 'Open' in PS and Bridge decides to open. Bridge is a slow monster... Anyway, thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like Photoshop will work best for me. Sony's software that comes with the camera is a joke!
Of course they will have, KDR! It's not that difficult Very nice stuff... if any of you have seen the texture pages for some of the FFX monsters, they're ridiculously tight and well-used... pieces re-used all over the place but it's never obvious or cheap, it just looks awesome. Masterful UV maps and texture painting.
Don't worry Monster my man, I was actually really impressed with the mad man's expressions. Very very cool stuff. Plus don't they show animations on the making of DVD? It would've been cool to see some rig stuff even if only other developers or hobbyists would pay attention or care.
Let me be the first to "ROFL" at gir for posting DND manual for anatomy reference... hahaha. I want to kill you for that. I thought that after leaving turbine that would never happen again when i was working on a monster...orsomeone nearm e was. Please do not look at that drawing for anatomical reference. Thanks.
