Yep. Surprised it took this many years for Pixologic to incorporate the Sculptris tech into ZBrush after they bought it, but I'm glad it's finally in there. Dynamesh is great, but Sculptis approach to dynamic tessellation was always just a lot more fun to work with :)
The original file spec doesn't support it, but it looks like Pixologic (or someone) appended it in. When you export a polypainted OBJ it has vertex color in it. Xnormal sees it. I think it's just that Maya doesn't recognize the addition.
Hi I have been having problems trying to register the Zbrush 2 demo. Everytime I run the thing it gives me an error stating to email pixologic for the corretion code 2. I enter the number they emailed me and the program complains about the password being date sensitive and shuts down. I have the newest password and my…
I have recently upgraded to 4R3 and i've installed the 4R3 version of Image Plane plugin, located in C/program files/Pixologic/zbrush/zstartup/zplugs. The same location as all my other functional plugins. Nothing is showing up in the texture tab for Image Plane at all :/
Thanks guys. @Beelzeboss Sorry, but it is not possible to customize brushes yet. It's more complicated, since i had to design the brush icon from scratch. I can't use the design that came with Zbrush (need to ask Pixologic for permission to use it) and besides i'm running out of hotkeys for Zbrush. I hope Pixologic makes…
does anyone know where to find a completely stacked list of all the changes? all the ones i found from pixologic are just listing the major changes. I'm interested to see that new smoothing algorithm or what it does
Honestly, just google it and watch some videos. Lots of tutorials out there covering polypainting. Also, the zbrush tutorials on Pixologic's site are pretty great and definitely worth watching. http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lesson/painting-techniques/
It's not the greatest, I realize. however, for my first Zbrush project I think it came out pretty good. Special thanks to this tutorial: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/pixologic-zbrush/creating-a-character-portrait-in-zbrush-the-making-of-hammerhead/
Thanks Azkur! Been so busy sorry for the late reply. Yeah I hadn't been able to change the face much but it made to the Pixologics turntable gallery!:) Here it is with a better render and turntable vid. http://vimeo.com/36047708
if Valve can convince devs to start making Linux based games, then Autodesk/Adobe/Pixologic might start to see the financial value of doing the same. Valve might actually pull off the biggest shift in OS history.
