I'm going to join in this month. Will be my first time using UDK though I have been using max for seven years so should be a fun challenge. I would also like to go with Grida's Old Home before and after troll attack :)
and the hair-pulling cooperative lan action fun that was R6 + Eagle Watch. Hard as hell with enemies that have god aim and bandit reactions, but it strived for realism over hollywoodness - and I loved it. I remember loving the NATO mod for it soon after, tons of weapons lol
Thanks Joe, not really in to the whole computer building world but I'll take a look at it :) Was thinking about maybe getting a complete new computer, keeping the old one for fun. Did some work/research and came up with this : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bZ6t99 Any suggestions?
Thanks for coming out guys. This was really fun! A pleasure to see all your black and green faces. Now does anyone have any pictures? :D I totally forgot my camera and my cell phone camera is like half a megapixel :P
Using someone else's art in your texture is a no-no. If you can't paint to that level of detail then try going with a retro 80's design. If this is just for learning and fun, then I guess it's fine. But if I came across this in your portfolio as an employer I would be put off.
Now that was fun to watch! Thanks for taking the time to make the video. When you were making the tech gear in the back of the head I noticed a huge sudden jump in quality of the mesh, did you resurface that somewhere and then bring in back into the sculpt? Again, beautiful work! :)
I modeled one of those too recently actually, if you wanna find some better reference and such it's actually called a "Jerry Can" Not that you seem to need it, just... more reference is usually always better :P Fun fact, they used these to haul water in WWII.
:P cheers man. at the rate it's going i expect to be finished this time next year... mebbe :\ got a leetle bit more done on the head... and test marmo shots. Still got the proper ponytail, wrist thingy and courier bag to add on. bag should be fun.
on the QA side of things, life aint fun in general, but i've heard some pretty bad things about how it's run down at EALA.. a few of our leads were down there for a while just the other week, tryin to help them get their act together.
hey guys glad you like the concepts! might be a while before i post any 3d because there's so much going on, and it's much more fun to paint these guys up..may give the giant mutated spider a go, in fact, and then start accessorizing them.
