When sliding values with the MMB pressing Ctrl will increase the sensitivity (lowering each step by 10 times) and pressing Shift will decrease the sensitivity (multiplying each step by 10)
Yep, many engines do it fine. I've noticed there's often a hairline seam, but mostly it's not too noticeable. A trick on UDN for fixing the specular seam. http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/ContentBlog.html#Fixing%20specular%20highlights%20when%20using%20X%20and%20Y%20symmetrical%20texture%20mirroring One way to avoid it…
as far as filling out the left side, i'd throw more icicles in. Just tons of icicles covering that entrance, like icicles coming out of icicles to make the outside seem really harsh. Don't be too symetrical either, i'd have the icicles reach the ceiling on the left side of the cave entrance and kinda run to just the tip of…
Probably you have to slide the outer edge, it's too far away, then you have to move the edge loops to make them straight Compare it with the subdivided version I've posted earlier.
tell me someone is going to the tech artist panel :( Might ask over at the tech-artists site if they mind putting the slides up. Hope this GDC online thing happens soon.
It's worth pointing out that they have a proprietary engine and that there's no reason you cant store multiple vertex color sets in a model so they probably just do that for simplicity's sake. This is also what the slides suggest they did so I think it's a safe bet. The simplest option if you only have 4 channels is to do…
Hey folks, For years now I've been noticing how disconnected we are from classical art as digital artists. There is such a treasure trove of brilliant creative thought and yet we still usually go to the same 3 places as source of inspiration. The OGs have some amazing takes on dramatic lighting, environment composition or…
Very inaccurate. The trigger guard is too thin and the back of the grip shouldn't come to a point like that. You're also missing slide rails and a whole bunch of details with the shape of the frame.
I don't think it's going into idle. Best way to describe it it's like that feeling that you are running your mouse on ice... keeps sliding... don't know how to describe it better :)
What WeatherMan said. Also I would twist with the hips slightly before the upper body. Also the right foot slides a bit. It may look better as a slight step?
