Video card is overkill for doing what you want, only advantage that will have is in gaming and even then some of the mid tier cards in 300 dollar range will be prefect. I recommend bringing a printed portfolio as well. Printing an 8x10 at 300 DPI would mean you should render at 3000x2400 for a crisp print. Textures are blurry but that's expected, game art is painted for displays not print. For color, I guess you're at the mercy of the print shop for how well they calibrate their printers.… -

dude don't get the alienware. The core 2 duo is by far a better processor. Alienwares are made by dell too fyi so I don't know why they don't come with core 2 duos and the dual gfx cards.
