Re: Normal map distorted\displaced in Painter bake
See which channel the brown stain appears in. If its ambient occlusion then You can prevent it using 2 sided geometry for that bake otherwiise it's probably one of the projection distance values that need tweaking -

Had a look at your blend file and I think that's what it was. I don't see those 'stains' in my current development version of TexTools as it now bakes everything as 32 bit float values. next version will be out this weekend or today. -

I hope this ushers in a ton of mech orientated fanart on polycount, as most new big titles seem to spawn a brief "lets make stuff like that" fad. :) We've got the collectors edition in the office, the statue is friggin HUGE and awesome! :D -

I already feel that good FX artists are worth their weight in gold. I wouldn't suggest anyone specialize, but building a sub-portfolio of tasty weapon/spawn/environmental/etc. effects and expressing an interest in doing it full time would be smart. -

From the first two lines, thought you severed your fingers... For blood stains...since they're likely dry I think the only think you can clean them with would be iodine or nail polish depends on the surface its on. -

For just ridiculous over the top but fun art, check out Slaine: The Horned God by Simon Bisley. Dude is whacked. It might be a bit harder to find, but well worth it for the cracked out Frazetta-esque art style with a huge helping of gore. -

^This, + some real "Gory" gruesome gutty carnage that the originals were known for. Not dubbed down stuff like #3 where it disappeared and left no stains or a mess with variations of ways to dismember your foes. -

Crosspost Quick update on my wall tile. I pushed the random tilt of the tiles up a bit and also upped the color and gloss value of the water stains to help them read better -

They way you have the teeth and eye done makes it look like it was laser etched and stained with one of the blackest and least reflective materials. It looks weird. Also the blade looks really dull.
