Hey everyone, so I decided to start practicing hand painting textures. Keeping it simple to start out with, I began this sword yesturday. Critiques and feedback would be lovely, thanks! I plan on posting all of the textures that I do in this thread, possibly creating a mini scene.

Hello guys,does anyone have any tips or tutorials on how to hand paint a head texture but realistically not in cartoonish way,something similar to image below but a bit more realistic?
It got a little easier in the end. I'm assuming there were some changes in Blender, because the (simple) face rig was much easier to make this time. Weight painting was the most time-consuming though. But it's as finished as it's going to be, I think. At least until I add hair. By this point I got used to seeing her…
I'm trying to find a copy of the deep paint 2.0 freeware application and the very official mirror on downloads.com seems to have been discontinued. Anyone know where I can snag a copy?
I cant for the life of me figure out anchor points in substance painter. Am I doing this right? I'm pretty sure I followed the tutorial to the letter The herringbone pattern on the panel is a height fill on layer 21 with the cuts masked out, but the anchor doesn't seem to do anything.
