In blender when baking with a multiresolution modifier from this highpoly: The baked normal-map on the low-poly looks like this when using "Bake from multires": These are the UV seams: I thought it had to do with UV seams first, but it's unable to bake round edges anywhere at all, anywhere on the model. I noticed that…
Thought I'd see what peoples methods are for this. When adding hard edges to sub-d hard edge models I'll usually do them at the end or I'll do them as I go along. If I do them at the end then I cannot see what my model looks like smoothed as I go along. In theory the best way is to place the hard edges on a editable poly…
What I don't get is why people are letting it slip out of their hand while they're swinging with all their might. Do your hands get that sweaty? Is the remote that hard to grip? Or do they really think the flimsy strap is going to hold it well?
Butt-Sahib - Because of several reasons. In short: -because the challenge was based on this model -lowpoly people get more detail in their models, with the same budget. -highpoly people learn to prioritize and conserve polygons (this is a skill that some schools forget about) -everyone gets to push themselves a bit more,…
This is to gauge interest we might or might not have for this. This could be monthly or weekly challenge. Or bi-monthly or whatever. This would be along side our already existing character challenge/environment/hard-surface/firearms (what happened to firearms :P ?) Things we need if we are to do this. 1. Enough interest…
Sage: If you drag down the top header, you get the settings window. Under View & Controls you can set selection to the left mouse button. I'd disagree with you there - the loss of the useless Face mode, the addition of Align Auto, the easification of Merge back in the day, all those smell like the developers using their…
Hi Elliot! I basicly thought of one handed swords, which could be grabed with both hands for a stronger hit. But you might be right, maybe I should shorten the handles a little. At least at the second and third one. Thanks. And thanks Komaokc for the feedback!
Well, one small note would be the amount of influence the arms have on the wrists. I know he's grabbing the handles, but there's a noticable amount of disconnect from the forearms and the hands. Might need some more motion the the hands to split the difference or tone down the arms.
Efficient, reliable and hard working 3D artist Looking for 3D Modeling/Texturing work (Environment/Props/Assets/Hard Surface) - both photo real and hand painted. Work primarily in 3D Studio Max. Have worked for a few studios in the past but since fell on hard times due to no fault of my own, looking for steady work or…
Hi Pior. Good suggestion. I will however still need to add the detail in Zbrush before handing over a file to them, so I will still need to get a workable mesh in Zbrush.
