Hello everyone!, I manage to finish this project! Was an amazing ride! I recorded all the process from the start, some weird results at the very beginning and had to redesign the main character, but it worth it. Here is the final result for my first Patreon tutorial. I hope you guys like the render. 63 days of work…
Was just browsing through an old backup DVD with the UT2 work, crazy stuff. The 2 512 textures are about 4 years old. Was gonna clean up more psd's but i need to check my webspace left... They may or may not be of any good, i often work in a quite wildish fashion, trying and layering things i believe will add properly. The…
This is my very first attempt at making an organic model. what do you think? please give me any critique. this is my progress on and off for a year. also i followed digital tutors tutorials to create this. how is my progress?
One Enviro artist normally isn't resposable for everything you see on the screen so its not as easy to pimp as a character. 3dsMax help has tons of stuff that guide you step by step. Later on, some tutorials from Gnomon, Eat3D, Digital Tutors or 3dMotive always help. As soon as you feel comfortable, create a thread on polytcount and start posting.
Looks like you're doing the tutorial that one of my university Tutors wrote. Is it the one by Barry Lowndes on YouTube? :) Here's how to do a checker material too: Most likely cause of action is to just Relax your UVs again. :)
Maya > Help > Learning Movies... That's the basics in video format Here's a site with a ton of tutors I've never used. :P http://www.maya3d.dk/Tutorials/Index.asp MJ Poly Tools should be downloadable from that site somewhere, it's very handy.
Hi I am fairly decent at Maya modeling (not great). I am trying to learn Max now. I watched a Gnomon Tutorial which the tutor demostrated Polyboost. do you recommend me to get Polyboost at this stage?
reminds me of Digital-Tutors Jet Bike, one of the earlier tutorials i remember seeing when i first got into 3D (didn't follow it but definitely inspired me to want to become a modeller) in other words, good job ! :P
Umm... since new to texturing, for all texturing I saw few tutorials. for the walls, and the cement, I saw http://www.3dmotive.com/training/zbrush/tileable-zbrush-video/?follow=true and went step by step as the tutor explained :D .
