Crysis is not a good example of realism when we talk about characters. The environments are pretty nice though. The l4d2 characters are the best of the best right now, at least for me. There is an article about their creation, in Cgsociety if i recall well. And if we want stylized character, Tera, the new FFXIV and…
Hey man, welcome! You've got some cool and original designs for your first post. Vivid colours and plenty of ideas contained within. However, to me they are very hard to read and understand. You've taken these into maximum overdrive which in turn makes it harder to make out their design. The colour and amount of details…
Hey Sweet!!!!:) You all rock!!! Thanks for responding!!!:):) DarthRevanII: Thanks. Remember, the mind is capable of doing many things. The power of suggestion. What one can conceive, one can achieve. One hits what they aim for. Aesir, Daz: Cool, thanks. Next reel. Credits will be trimmed and the BackStreet Boys wil be…
So I am trying to figure out how I can texture an object with squares which UV islands are all rotated, sometimes scaled and really therefor annoying to get it right. I was thinking that I could probably bake colors to a texture from a material but all faces are also different size. Is there any smart ideas out there?

monster: Have you done much python scripting using the 2014 extension? I was wanting to use it for a big re-write of internal tools to help integrate with our contract partner's tools but it ended up being a waste of time. I was really expecting a lot of common maxscript functions with the same names or at least some sort…
yep that is my problem with it, too. theoretically, you can turn off a lot of the stuff that comes with windows by default. but it requires quite some knowledge, often additional tools and in some cases it leads to strange errors and limitations that seem totally unrelated. i had to vomit alot when i went from win2000 to…
Per - I checked out that Asus board out and it looks pretty good. I went with a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 on my new rig. It had great reviews on New Egg and has solid caps. Using the 8600 as well since it seemed to have the most bang for the buck at the time. Running a dual boot of vista ultimate x64 and XP pro x32. Currently…
