Hey, I have the problem in Zbrush 4 that the cavity function in the brush palett "automasking section" is not working?? If i want to paint with cavity on, it just throws the colour on the whole modell? Anyone with the same problem? Is there a solution?
Cryrid is right, and this is a known issue. Brush menu automask is not working right (along with some other automask options apparently) Workaround as shown, tool menu, mask by cavity, turn off show mask. I reckon they'll try to fix this in an update ;-)
Here is the script that I run. I have one script saved for each project I'm working on and just use MaxScript | Run Script... command to execute the script. (Or you can drag the text to a toolbar to make a toolbar button.) I actually use relative autoback folders so that each project has it's own autoback files. I also had…
Here's a couple new additions that aren't making the headlines, but that I think are pretty cool... Smart Autoback! Now autoback only kicks in when you've made changes to the scene, so no more leaving for lunch and coming back to have all your backup files overwritten with the same file. And when you manually save, the…
That is a good one rollin didn't think of that. The issue i see with this and what might've been said already is that the normals would still be wrong wouldn't it? (by angles) essentially changing the triangle face direction or am i not correct in my thinking so even IF you managed this achievement you would still need the…
[ QUOTE ] Well at least Maya has that nifty "autoback" feature ... oh, wait a minute ... [/ QUOTE ] Autoback is all well and good until your scene takes 2min to save. All of a sudden its not so cool. Oh and it depends on what you where trying to do while it was autosaving if max is going to crash right afterward, wee good…
Relying on autoback from Max which is a life saver some times and then using Maya and forgetting Maya is dumb and doesn't have autoback and losing tons of work : /
Well in the example above, an autoback will contain the same data that caused a file corruption. If you're working on a file for 12 hours straight, and introduced a corruption 2 hours into it, it doesn't matter how many autobacks you have.
yes, look in the folder max is installed there is a folder called autoback, thats where you files are, there are only 3 by default tho, so if you have been working since your loss, then the autoback files are of what you are working on currently.
