I found pictures on web and i wanted to create model based on those. I started today with Maya and started to set up image planes (front and side view). My question is how can i get some kind of indicators on images that i see in the screen. I can see front and side view image but with eye setting up similar (but not same)…
Hi Guys I've been poking around trying to find a method of having side by side texture painting to a 3D surface. Effectively what Zbrush does but not painting on the 3D mesh, just painting on the UV layout and having a representation view? I know there is inbuilt aspects of 3Dmax that can do such a thing, but not for the…
This is the move some p.o.s. are doing over at blender, think of it as, you(anyone) get no money cause somehow everyone in the world seems to be siding with being or becoming broke as sites everywhere are allowing "these people" to flourish without repercussions, strange. The topic that points it out that the entire…
Hi, I hate to ask this, but I have looked high and low for where this might be; but as the title implies, does Marmoset support double-sided material, and if so, where might that hide? Thanks for any help!
Yeah the multiple meshes thing is what I would think it would be set up like. Maybe like 3 states. A clean, A damaged, and a really damaged. Id imagine that in actual production they would have a mesh swap and hide it with some vfx smoke and other particles, like how they do their building destruction. I interpreted it as…
Thanks for the feedback. I asked for it, and I meant that. I started to get defensive, so needed to regroup and strip things down. A few of the points hit harder than I expected, especially around how the site comes across. Fair criticism. Some of that is already being adjusted. To be clear on intent, this is not about…
@Eric Chadwick Hey! It's all just fixed densities now set dynamically via sliders/input boxes, I don't have subdivision levels yet but that's on the short list. I did some early experiments with instant meshes as an external tool dependency but the quality wasn't quite there, and you can't use the field/curve guides…
I agree with the above and think with a few changes you could have something great. You have some good art in spite of an awkward site implementation. - Convert to HTML or some format that loads quickly. If you still want to use a gallery viewer check out the automated PhotoShop Galleries. PhotoShop > File > Automate > Web…
I use gmax at home and when I turn force 2 sided on it actually shows both sides. Max doesn't seem to ever want to show a texture on the backs of faces, even with a 2sided material.
I wanted to share something I came across while looking at models and textures from Borderlands 2. There is a 3D model called WreckedVan that is used all over the game. It comes with a 2048 diffuse map and a second packed mask texture. The size might seem large for 2012 but given that it was standard practice to give…
